The France Télévisions group was not part Wallis and Futuna la Première will broadcast the matches of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, in particular those of the France team as well as the opening match and the final on August 20 .
The final and Les Bleues in the spotlight on public service! France Télévisions announced, on Monday June 26, the details ofthe intention of the rights to broadcast the matches of the women’s (Site notre bureau spécialisé) world cupwhich will be played in New Zealand and Australia, from July 20 to August 20, 2023. Les Bleues will launch their competition on July 23 against Jamaica (10 p.m. Wallis time), then continue against the other Big team of their group, Brazil (July 29, at 10 p.m. Valais), before completing this first phase against Panama (August 2, at 10 p.m. Valais).
These last two matches will be broadcast on France Télévisions, as will the opening match between New Zealand and Norway (July 20 at 7 p.m.). The final of August 20, with or without Les Bleues, will also be broadcast exclusively on the public service, as well as certain big posters of the first round such as the United States-Netherlands (July 27, at 1 p.m.) or Canada- Australia (July 31, 7 p.m.).
The public audiovisual group, which obtained lot n°2 (32 matches, as many as the M6 group, all broadcast on the various antennas and france.tv), will thus broadcast half of the knockout matches, i.e. four round of 16, two quarters and a semi-final. On the other hand, if Amandine Henry’s teammates manage to extricate themselves from the pools and then postpone their round of 16 in stride, they play again in front of the cameras of France Télévisions in the quarter-finals (August 12). Before, perhaps, dreaming of a historic final, also broadcast on the public service.
