Offers also from Germany
The first version of this article appeared on July 14 at 8:54 am and was later completed by the signature at LASK.
Last summer, Robert Zulj left VfL Bochum on a €350,000 buyout clause and followed Al-Ittihad Kalba SC’s lucrative UAE Pro League call-up. After a year, the time in the United Arab Emirates is already over. The 30-year-old striker has announced his departure from Al Ittihad Kalba, for whom he has been directly involved in 15 goals in 27 games.
Update July 17, 6:17 p.m.: Three days after the termination of the contract at the Emirates, Zulj was presented as a newcomer to LASK in Austria, where he signed a working document until 2025. « Being able to play for LASK after my stays abroad is something something very special for me as an Upper Austrian. Despite several offers – also from the German Bundesliga – sporting director Vujanovic and president Gruber managed to convince me of what is happening here at LASK. I look forward to start with the team, » said Zulj.
Welcome to LASK, Robert #permed!

The 30-year-old previously wrote on Instagram about his breach of contract: « Thank you for the unique experience of the past year. I wish the club, the supporters and above all the whole team the best for the future. And I’m sure you’ll win the league title in the future. » Last winter, the Austrian openly considered a return to Bochum.
