TV rights: DAZN would like to renegotiate – Football

The television crisis is no longer a thing of the past. According to information from RMC, DAZN contacted the Professional (Site notre blog d’information) League during the end-of-year holidays to express its dissatisfaction.

The main broadcaster of Ligue 1, which broadcasts 8 matches per day live, is not very satisfied with its subscription name. The platform, however, improved promotions, before creating a magazine (Le Mag Live) and the Sunday multiplex. But all these efforts are not enough to gain ground against piracy. You act from the LFP, we are not worried about DAZN’s frustration. But the English company could try to renegotiate its contract for around 400 million euros per year on average.

As a reminder, DAZN has an exit clause if the 1.5 million subscriber mark is not reached by December 1, 2025, knowing that a break would also break the contract of beIN Sports which broadcasts one match per day. The LFP is preparing without fire and is considering the creation of its own channel, without knowing the consequences on the finances of the French Club.
