Real Madrid’s incredible end to the series

Proof of the greatness of the feat achieved by Losc, on Wednesday, Real Madrid had been undefeated since January.

Having missed out when entering the Champions League, Lille was superbly caught up. A second time after the 2-0 defeat on the Sporting pitch, the Dogs were indeed offered the scalp of Real Madrid, title holder and record holder for victories during the first edition (15).

And Losc’s performance is all the more remarkable since the Merengue had not lost a single match officially since January. The last defeat dates back to January 18, 2024 when Carlo Ancelotti’s men lost after extra time against Atlético de Madrid (4-2, ap) in the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey.

Since then, Real Madrid, which had only lost one during the season, this time again against the Colchoneros (3-1) in La Liga, remained on an impressive series of 36 matches without.
