Lewandowski gets 100 goals

Robert Lewandowski, with 99 goals in the Champions League, missed the opportunity to reach the 100 losers of Barça’s victory. Hansi Flick regretted his substitution in the last match.

During Barça’s great victory against Red Star Belgrade (2-5), Robert Lewandowski scored a double which took him very close to 100 goals in the Champions League, with a total of 99 goals. His coach, Hansi Flick, decided to replace him in the 79th minute, unaware that he was separated from this legendary legend.

Lewandowski will wait

During the press conference, Flick admitted his mistake: “If you have access to something new, you won’t be able to see it again”he confided, while adding that he wanted to preserve his striker for the next matches.

At 36 years old, Lewandowski remains essential with 19 goals in 16 matches this season and will still have several opportunities to join the very closed circle of centenarians in the Champions League.
