Latronquière. The junior high school girls are interregional football vice-champions

The women’s junior (Site notre bureau spécialisé) team from La Châtaigneraie de Latronquière college distinguished itself during the UNSS interregional finals. The competition took place in the Toulouse suburbs on Wednesday March 25. Supervised by their teacher, Olivier Flous, and accompanied by a parent, Jean-Lou Calméjanne, the young players confirmed their excellent course after having successfully completed the district, departmental and regional qualification stages.

Opposed to the colleges of Pins-Justaret and Mende, the Latronquiéroises started the competition in the best way by clearly winning 4-0 against Pins-Justaret, despite unfavorable weather.

Serious and diligent, they then played a very close final against Mende. At halftime, the two teams were tied (1-1). Despite a great opportunity on the post at the end of the match, Latronquière’s play finally gave way in the final minutes on an opposing corner.

They nevertheless obtained a notable place as interregional vice-champions, confirming, for the second year in a row, the quality of the training and the commitment of the young (Site notre bureau spécialisé)ers.
