All Hanover 96 championship matches since 1947 have now been available in the Transfers Market Database: the Regionalliga-Nord-Offer 1963/64 region completes the Historical Game Reports of the Lower Sanony and also has a constellation fascinating table with higher class names – and therefore red at the time with clubs such as VFB Oldenburg, Altona 93, Osnabrück, Holstein Kiel, VFB Lübeck, SC Concordia and Rival of the city Arminia Hanover. FC St. Pauli has become champion, and Hanover was still able to jump into the freshly founded Bundesliga.

And that, although the team of the Helmut coach « Fiffi » ​​Kronsbein, who still had legends to Hanover, ended up two points behind the burgers after 34 days of match in the final table. With Horst Haeck, the FCSP also presented the top scorer of this season (35 goals) ahead of Hanover Walter Rodekamp (32 goals). The Kiezkicker had led the painting twelve times during the season, which was only exceeded by Altona (14x leaders) – the AFC only ranked 4th in the final table after having collapsed in the phase Decisive of the season and two series of defeats. For the Lower Saxony and their master coach of 1954 Helmut « Fiffi » ​​Kronsbein, who was then entitled « Sole Ruler of Hanover 96 » because of his four season on the Leine between 1952 and 1978, it was the first of Two Bundesliga climbs. The coach was initially released two years later because he would have accepted a gift from a player mediator.
