The Moroccan stadium, baptised by Hassan II, is at the heart of the accumulated project of the 2030 World Cup.
Morocco is great, it’s great, for the stadium. Named Hassan II (former king of Morocco in 1999), it should host matches of the 2030 World Cup co-organized by Morocco, Portugal and Spain. It’s instantaneous, the stadium, located in Casablanca, is not a project on paper of the architects. They unveiled the first images. And it’s impressive.
Designed by Populous in partnership with Parisian architects Oualalou + Choi, the spectacular 115,000-capacity Stade Hassan II in Casablanca, Morocco, will be the largest (Site notre bureau spécialisé) stadium in the world.

The project is concrete, the stadium could become the largest in the world. With a capacity of 115,000 people, it is the closest to the May Day stadium in Pyongyang in the Heart of the North and 114,000 seats. Enough to make your head spin.
Populous, the American architectural firm in charge of the project, has published on its social networks the behind the scenes of the first features of this immense stadium. Designed in collaboration with the Parisian firm Oualalou + Choi, the distinction also lies in the rather original design, inspired by traditional tents, with those used for moussem festivals.
The World Cup final as a goal?
Located 38km north of Casablanca, the stadium is located on a site of more than 100 hectares, near the city of El Mansouria. The design of the green space is also intended to be used in the creation of the architectural firm which calls for an « oasis » of greenery. The objective is to accumulate the final of the 2030 World Cup in a new flamboyant stadium, created for the occasion after 20 competitions.
