Felipe Santana regrets moving from BVB to Schalke: ‘Biggest mistake’

So nothing against Felipe, really – but I think it was already clear to everyone at the time of the change that the change (and especially the reason) was not necessarily his intellectual finest hour.
His advisor was perhaps happy (even if the craze for hand money and commissions was a little less intense 10 years ago), but otherwise there were really only losers.

But the strong point for me is that he seriously saw himself in the national team.
He wasn’t a bad guy by any means, but Brazil is probably one of the toughest countries to become an international player.
And with all due respect to his achievements, he was only able to demonstrate the required level in exceptional cases.

In my opinion, Felipe will always remain a true symbol of sympathy for the black and yellow team – and of course, the Malaga goal is and remains his monument.
But I cannot subscribe to what he and those around him saw in him, as sorry as he was.

(By the way, my rating has nothing to do with the fact that he moved to Schalke. The desire to be a regular player should drive every player – and if he hasn’t achieved it after 5 years in Dortmund it is legitimate to look around.
If he had scored the decisive goal the following year so we didn’t become champions, I might have blamed him. toung
But either way, we don’t need other teams to trip us up; we have been able to do this ourselves wonderfully and reliably for years. rolling eyes )
