FC Barcelona remains impeccable: Lamine Yamal with a double against Girona

Lamine Yamal is, in my opinion, the most talented player since Messi. What he is doing at such a young age is pure madness. However, my biggest worry is that he is completely exhausted and has to play too many games. Balde, Pedri, Gavi, Fati can tell you a thing or two. Olmo also had to come off injured today and the squad is currently reduced due to all the absences. This cannot last long.

Talent also means not getting injured. Ronaldo and Messi also felt like they played every game and were treated poorly. To be at the top, you can’t be vulnerable.

No, they didn’t.

In his first season at 17, Pedri made 37 appearances in La Liga and virtually every other competition
Messi played 7 La Liga games in his first season at 17 years old.

With some of the candidates and players mentioned in this thread, one has to be a bit surprised at the apparent expertise in managing these young top athletes and their respective medical records, but unfortunately for Pedri, that season in question was obviously a problem. Yes, he played a lot at Barca, but it wasn’t even close. Then came the European Championships and he played for Spain. There are probably few approaches if Pedri is called up and wants it – so Barca had to agree to let him compete for the Spanish Olympic team (super selected in this case…) that same summer, even though he wanted it himself, and that was it… simply said in a friendly, extremely fake way. At least they didn’t do it like that again in Yamal this summer.
