Hugo Ekitike (21) of Paris Saint-Germain will have to make an important decision regarding his future in the coming days after being left out of the club since the start of the season.
Excluded by PSG last summer in order to force his departure, the former Reims player finds himself in a very difficult situation in the French capital. Since his arrival a few months ago, Luis Enrique has not counted on the French striker and offensive recruitment during the summer made this clear to Ekitike. Purchased for nearly 30 million euros in 2022, the Rémois risks spoiling his career if he does not accept a new challenge in January.

Frankfurt comes back strong
Since the start of the winter transfer window, several English and German clubs have approached the player’s entourage as well as Paris Saint-Germain. This matter could accelerate in the coming days. A Bundesliga club, Eintracht Frankfurt, is in fact pushing to sign Ekitike. Currently 6th in the German championship after 17 days, Frankfurt made a first attempt last year but the French striker refused to be included in the negotiations for the transfer of Randal Kolo Muani.
Is the disappointment overcome?
Barring a huge twist, the former Reims player will remain the symbol of a huge disappointment for the Parisian management, who saw in him a potential successor to Kylian Mbappé.
